WHO WE ARE
Henwood Kiwi Industries (HKI) was founded in 2024 with the goal of reducing the number of vehicles destined for the scrapyard. By fixing older vehicles, HKI strives to keep tons of material from the waste stream. HKI is owned by Nick Henwood and operates in the USA and New Zealand. In Japanese, "ai" (愛) is the general term for love, which translates as "real love," "deep love," or "profound love"; HKI uses 愛 in our logo to represent the love we bring to our work.
In 2024, HKI acquired Kurt Robertson's collection of unique rotary vehicles, and continues to acquire classic cars for restoration and sale. HKI works closely with Kurt Robertson Mazda to offer all manner of engine services. Kurt has close to 50 years in the game!

About Kurt
Kurt's passion has always been the rotary vehicles, despite the inability of the general public to embrace their concept or see their value.
Since 1983, Kurt has driven, bought, collected, disassembled and inventoried over 300 rotary vehicles, including R100s, RX-2s, RX-3s, RX-4s, REPU trucks/utes, RX-5 Cosmos, and dozens of RX-7s and RX-8s. These cars have become modern classics and are rightfully finding their way into the hands of owners that are looking to invest, restore and improve the performance of these unique vehicles (that's you!).
HKI, in association with Kurt Robertson Mazda, is proud to operate one of North Americas' largest collections of rotary vehicles and parts. You will not find a more extensive selection elsewhere. Feel free to directly contact Kurt with any old-school needs and technical questions.
